On October 7, 2023, Israelis awoke expecting to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, a day of rejoicing and celebration. It marked the end of a two-week vacation from school and the conclusion of the Jewish High Holiday period.
Instead, they were confronted with a nightmare: Palestinian Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel, murdering more than a thousand civilians in unspeakably brutal ways. They showed no mercy, massacring parents, grandparents, Holocaust survivors, children, and even babies. Many more Israeli civilians were wounded and 200+ were taken hostage and brought to the Gaza Strip, where they are being held incommunicado and in inhumane conditions.
This was the bloodiest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust.
While Israel prepares for a long and difficult fight against a brutal enemy, our Jewish brothers and sisters need your help to get through the coming weeks and months:
· Over 400,000 Israelis have been forcibly displaced from their homes, to avoid relentless missile attacks. They need psychological and economic assistance - they need your help.
· Bereaved families grieve the loss of their loved ones, their homes, and their livelihoods – they need your help.
· Hundreds of thousands of fathers, brothers, and sons from across Israel have been called up to lead the fight against the terrorists – they need your help.
· The brave civilian first responders on the front lines that risk their lives daily saving those that need it most - they need your help.

The Supporters of Israel: Emergency Fund has been established as an emergency response by Artza in response to the war in Israel in partnership with United Hatzalah and other Israeli NGOs.
All contributions will provide immediate aid to the victims of the devastating attacks on Israeli soil and the ongoing conflict. All donations will be directed to accredited charitable organizations specializing in delivering relief services, including support for combat units, welfare initiatives, provision of essential equipment, sustenance, and other vital requirements for the war's victims and their families.
